03 Explorer Transmission Service
I have been to three different dealers in the Portland Area. All say transmission on my 2003 Explorer is sealed for life. No service needed.
Is this true? Or are they trying to avoid the hassle of opening one up.
I have 35000 miles in it and have done nothing to it. Seems to shift smooth.
Sounds like some are having problems. I am trying to decide if it is worth it to put down some money on an Extended Warrenty. My 93 Explorer went 200000 with no transmission problems at all. All I ever did on it was drop the pan and change the filter every 60000 miles or so.
Whats the opinion on these "Sealed for Life Transmissions".
