Kickdown Cable

Has anyone installed a C-6 on an EFI 302 motor that was previously an NP435? The C-6 was installed on a carburated 302 so it had a metal tube that kicked down the transmission when in full throttle. That doesn't do me any good now and nothing I do seems to work. I tried to rig up an accelerator cable from the C-6 to the throttle body but it didn't work. I've been to all the junk yards in my area and they have nothing like it. Ford don't sell them and the parts stores don't carry them either. I've lived without "passing" gear for a while now, but I would like to know if there was anyway to get it back. Has anyone here experienced the same or maybe a similar problem? Any help would be appreciated.

No takers, huh?
Well, to rephrase the question, does anyone know of a place where I can get a kickdown cable that will work on a 302 EFI motor to a C-6 transmission?

Kickdown Cable

I have heard alot of folks that used the Lokar kickdown cable say good things about them. They are available from Summit Racing but I am not sure if they work on efi. Call the 1-800 and ask the parts guys, They all seem to know there stuff.

Thanks, I'll give em a try. I think I looked at a lokar setup on the web but I'm sure the one I saw wouldn't work. Maybe a tech rep at summit might know though, I have nothing to lose.

Now that i think about it, I sold my 88 that had the 5.8/c6 combo. Check the boneyards locally and on line. Hpe you find what you need.
