I just got my 40 series original flowmaster exhaust installed, I am very happy with the sound, sounds like a 6, but I expected it to. I knew it wouldnt give me that v8 sound, but ohh well.

My questions are, will an aftermarket cold air intake change the exhaust sound in any way?

I have found a New Mac Cold air intake on ebay for $150 and free shipping, is this a good deal??

I asked the same question after getting my flowmaster and was told that it would not help. I haven't bought an intake yet but think the Mac is selling for $150 plus shipping on motorhaven. I also think someone was trying to sell one on this forum.

 

Shouldn't change the exhaust sound any. It does change the intake sound.

The MAC intake does compliment the sound; they go well together.

Good. The MAC for 150 is a nice deal. I loved mine......in fact, I need to get it all together and sell it. No need for a CAI with a turbo
