I have a 2000 ford Ranger XLT 4 door extended cab.I would like to know how do you remove the rear door panel. I need to get acesses to the rear speakers. Thanks
Believe it or not, it is just the little plastic retaining clips that hold it on. I had to buy the tool to remove those clips at the parts store. It was only about 6 bucks and it helps in alot of interior jobs.
The tool is used more or less as a small "prybar" that helps with the push pins that hold the door panel to the door. You use it to help pry the push pins out of their holes while you are pulling the panel away from the door. In fact, I even use a small flat prybar (wrapped with tape so as avaoid scratching) for the same purpose.
To put the panel back on, all you need to do is line it up the push pins on the panel with the holes in door and press the panel back into place.
All of this will become obvious once you actually do it. Good luck.
