Anyone have a Leer 100XQ Cap?

After a loooooooong wait, I went to have my Leer 100XQ installed yesterday.
There were issues, and I left the dealer without the cap .
(It's a long story)

Does anyone out there have one of these installed? Care to share your thought's/experiences? Any pics?

Thanks.

I have the XL. the only difference is the windows. The XQ has a 1 piece side window and a fold down front. I went with the Browning package so the fold down front window is useless with the built in gun vault. I love mine. Much better the the ARE top that I had on my 01 F250. Pics in my gallery. The lip on the side that covers the bed rail plastic cap is worth the $. No leaks even in hard rain.

Lashlaroo,

I did see your gallery pics, last night, when I returned from the dealer and was looking for examples of the Leers. It looks like the "lip on the side that covers the bed rail" is somewhat wider than you actual bed rails, or is that just the angle of the pic? If it does extend noticeably outside the bed rail, how much would you estimate? (A buddy at work has an XL on a long box, and the "lip" only overhangs the side ~1/4"). One of the reasons I refused mine was the overhang on the sides & the back 3/4"-1". A dealer employee even commented, "It looks like heck

The front flip won't work with the ceiling mounted vault?!?! I probably should have realized that, strange the salesperson didn't mention it... Another good reason for telling them to take it off my truck, and give me my deposit back. (I ordered my XQ with the Browning pkg also).

Tim,
Were you asking me? If so; yes, I've got the SB, I think it was around $1450 for the basic XQ, without including any of the upgrades, or coupons. I only put money down to get it ordered, and didn't even see the final bill, as I didn't complete the purchase once I saw it on my truck.

Mine is the short bed. total $1,273.45 You can get a coupon from thier web site. it will help a little. The sides stick out no more than 1/4 inch. A big 1/8 in the front and 1/4 in the back. It sounds like they messed up on that top. tried to get rid of it anyway. I wouldnt give up on them. IMO they are the best topper going. Order an XL and tell them to get it RIGHT this time.

I’m hoping to stop by the dealer’s tomorrow morning and try to re-order. I’m kind of stuck on the XQ model, as I really like the looks & function of the 1 piece side window.

Any others have an XQ or XL?

I understand. It does look better. It took me several days to talk myself out of buying the XQ. The $200 I saved on price went into Hully rollers and Mako saddles to support out kayak on the roof. Good Luck

Check my gallery for pics of mine with the 100XL cap. With fold down front window, fold out tinted windows, came to $1400 installed and wired.

Well, I did finally get a Leer 100XQ that I'm pretty happy with.
Picked it up a over a week ago now.
Threw together a quick (sloppy) gallery with a few (poor) pics.

I'll try to get something better out there, once seasons change and my schedule lightens up a little.
