Taboo to do to your 2004/05?
Here is a funny question but here goes. Alot of people break in their new truck properly with their significant other if you know what I mean? If you don't know don't ask because it involves suspension. So with your new 04 or 05 will you? Just a yes or no answer will suffice so I don't get in trouble on these boards but I am finally starting to cope with getting rid of my last truck and all those memories. I got this truck to move people around but so far everyone has been only in the passenger seat.
(Hey, it's friendly conversation. I've never seen anyone on these boards younger than 16 very often.)

One for "Yes"
Yep, and funny thing... the girlfriend brought it up again and again and, well... remembering Mom saying to be obliging... I gave in. And gave in.
Then... you're gonna love this... an ex-girlfriend wanted to know if that truck needed breakin' in? Aw s**t! That was a test wasn't it!... Nah I didn't, but, I's a gentleman and let her go on 'bout just what she'd like to do in the back of that truck... and in the front of that truck. Jees', I had to leave her standing in a puddle and... You got it! I drove that truck straight to my girlfriends and told her that the suspension was still a bit stiff.

Worry far less about suspension travel and be way more concerned with your seat covers. The 04/05 seats are very easily stained (for instance coffee spills ). Far as i can tell Ford sold fabric material that is very difficult to clean. If any Forum reader knows of a good cleaner that will remove stains without discoloring the fabric, pls tell us know what you used. (serious question, if anyone knows of a cleaner that will work on the new fords pls provide details).
I purposely bought grey interior and there are still issues with grey.
If you have light colored seats (tan) then you already know.

Hey, at least this isn't another vibration thread! Doh, maybe it is.
Well, I broke in the bed (of the truck) a time or two and then warmed up the back seat. I was surprised how much room my SCrew (pun intended) had. But, it wasn't exactly a mini-van with the seat removed (aka my last NewO Mardi Gras trip). Best advice I can give is to always take a beach towel or a blanket. It'll always come in handy at some point or another.

Leather would be nice, unless it's cold.
The truck bed has been properly broke in, the inside has been as well (keep in mind it is a reg. cab truck). The only complaint I have is that it is too hard to shine the hood on a 4x4 truck. My old 84 4x4 had a massive bumoper you cuold at least put your feet on and the Rangers I had were low enough you could get it done.
Needless to say the hood has been waxed but hasn't been "shined" on my 04 F-150.

Try a product called Quick 10. It is available from a website www.quick10.com. I have used this product on other car interiors and it works great. Removes stains and they don't come back.
