I have a 67 f100 with the dana44 and it is a high pinion. They are on the 78/79 broncos too so I would guess yes to your question.

Hmmm... I thought all the '75-down trucks were low-pinion front. Is that the original axle?

I don't know if it is original. It was a pieced together truck when I bought it. I looks like nothing has been changed. It shows its mileage.

If it has disc brakes on the front and a high pinion axle, it's probably not the original axle.

No, it has drums that suck. I want to get a new axle with the discs. That would be nice.
