PCM reflash

On my 97 I have pcm code naw6. I was wondering if any have reflashed to a TDE1? If so what are your experiences?
Thanks,
Mike

I would be careful about getting it re-flashed, you can't go back when you do it.

Uhm, maybe this is a stupid question, but why do you want to reflash it? Is it (currently) giving you any trouble?
If it ain't broke....

Supposedly the newer code has better shift patterns. But I haven't talked to anyone who has done the reflash.

Oh ok, I can see that, then.
my '99 seems to shift a little soon. Always has -and the tranny was rebuilt a few months ago. It would be nice if it held onto gears 2 and 3 a little longer before hitting overdrive. Well, gear 2 anyway.
Some of these chip tuners will do it, I think -mine (Superchips) doesn't let you modify the tranny (at least not for the '99 psd) so I don't know much about how well it would work.
As for the factory settings (new version) I'd have no idea.

A reflash took care of my 1999 superduty trans flair shift just as the TSB indicated it should

I guess I'll just have to do it and see. Just need to get some good justification for the wife so I can shell out another $100. Used to be nickles and dimes, now its Grants and Benjamins.
