Talking 87 Octane

I've been using 87 octane in my 2002 since new. I tried a tank of 92 and couldn't beleive the difference. I'm not saying it turned into a rocket or anything but idle, acceleration felt alot better. I'm not sure if this is due to the knock sensors advancing the timing on cause of the higher octane. Anyone else experience this?

yup, I wont run anything less than 89 in my 99 2.5l. On 87 my truck pings horribly. and I do notice the difference when I run 92.
