Lookin For...................

i have a friend that converted over to ford trucks about 2 years ago. he has a 1984 chevy 1500 reg cab short bed he is restoring. he is looking for a bed that is in good shape. it dont matter if it is a step side or a fleet side. if it is a step side a new one would be ok if it has a good privce on it. all the beds he seems to be finding are eat up with rust or damaged. if anyone knows where there is a bed in good to great shape please let me know the condition of the bed, where it is and how much is being asked for it. thanks for any info.

Yep, that's the problem with trying to get old parts here in the rust-belt. Your best bet is to try a southern dealer. There is a truck parts dealer in Geneva, Ohio called Southwestern Truck & Auto.

I've purchased aftermarket fenders there and even sold the guy some extra stuff that I had.

I doubt they have a bed for that truck, but they may be able to point you in the right direction. I can't hurt to call. I believe up to '86 will fit.

my buddy has one thats rust free with a bedliner init.. i will get his number for you.. its a fleet side shorty, from an 86..

i think its in media, i am not sure maybe around $400(we were gonna trade him a truck for it, but then we traded the truck we needed it for)

theres a guy in bluffton ohio that has a few also usually charges about 500$-$700 for them let me know if you need the info

both of you guys give me the info. i think at this time my friend might be reay to drive to get one. its driving him nuts not being able to find one.

I spoke wiht him tonight and he still has it.. Its MINT with a MINT tail gate.. it also has a bed liner, with diamond plate bed rail covers on it.. he wants $500 for it.. You can call me at 216-749-3981 to set something up.. Its located in cleveland.. thanks,
