i have a new Actron cp-9135 scanner and it won't work on my '01 f150 4.2. But it works great on our '97 g.marquis and my son's '03 corolla. anyone with this same problem? (i did try key on, key off, even w/engine running)

Check all your fuses. There is a fuse that powers up the Data Link Connector. If it's blown the scanner probably won't work.

 

thanks....do you happen to know if its in the pwr.dist. box in eng. compartment or under the dash? this sounds logical because it won't do anything-no display at all. thanks!! pr

 

It should be fuse 3 under the dash. It's 20A.
