2004 Expedition Dash removal

I am in Germany and they don't know how to remove the dash to install a new stereo. Can anyone send me specific instruction on how to remove it please. They think they have to remove the entire piece of the gear shifter and steering wheel. Also, is the rear volt plug a 12V? Needing to know, so they can power the amp from back there or have to run the power from the front! Thanks

If I'm remembering correctly, on the last one that I did, I did not have to remove any of the shifter/column assembly. I think there are just two screws above the instrument cluster, and the the whole plastice piece from the cluster to the radio pulls off as one piece. Hopefully they have experience with newer plastic dashes so they don't scratch or crack it finding all the clips that are holding it on. They are usually tought if they've never been off before.

As for the 12V supply in the rear, I beilieve they are only rated for 20A, which will hardly be enough for a small aftermarket amplifier. I suggest just running it to the battery, eliminate any problems.
