What the HECK was clatter talking about. These trucks are crappola. I'm working part time for Paramount Landscaping, who recently bough another one (god why). And I have to drive this thing. Diesel and all, it still can't pull a 12 foot trailer, or have the bed full of more than 500lbs (arent these 3/4 ton chasis like the F250?). I'm ready to pull the trailer this weekend with my bronco.

Clatter must have been the name of his truck.

People who say it can't be done should not interrupt the person doing it.

Well like i said before i love my fords especially my 79 but my parents Cheby with the duramax is sweet. It has the duramax in it and its a shortbed. We just got the hitch put in it and it hauls the 3 horse gooseneck trailer fully loaded with no problem. We hauled some feed with it today also 1500lbs with no problems. So im not sure what your talking about

There was a confusion with the Japomax. All the capacities, payload, etc got mangled in the translation. Ya see, in this country we use lbs, but when the Japs rated it, they expressed their numbers in grams and GM figured "gram, lb, what's the difference" so they just changed the gram label to lbs and left the number the same!
(I love my conspiracy theories!)

I find that strange. The GVW for the 2500HD is actually 9200, so it's actually closer to Ford's F-350 than the F-250 8800gvw.
