Who has stacks on there truck?

Hey guys do you have stacks on your truck? I just got a powerstroke and was wondering if I should do this to my truck. They look pretty neat from what I see. Heres my question. 1. Do youlike em? 2. What kind off cost would something like this cost? BTW its a F-250 RC 2003. People probably would think I was showin off if I did this. I am kind off a showoff though. Thoughts anyone.Thanks. You gas guys respond as well.

I think it looks pretty cool. Would you run them up through the bed, or up the sides of the truck? I plan on putting stacks on my 85 F-250, I will most likely run them through the bed. The look a little weird running up the outside of the truck unless you have running boards IMHO.

I think I would runem through the bed. They do look pretty cool. One thing about it not to many people do this so you would stick out from the crowd.

Yeah, you dont see them alot, probably less then 10 trucks that I can remember. The worst one I saw was an old 2wd ford truck, just had the plain aluminum pipe coming through the bed with those tractor flaps on top of the pipes. If your gonna do that, they should at least be chrome or stainless steel.

Makem look nice. Polish that chrome. I remember a few older Ford trucks with them. I like the looks people give you with them on. They look intimidating. I like that.

I have stacks on my truck and luv em, sound good, can hear the turbo spool up and it was fairly cheep since I dont have all the cats an stuff, just make sure that when you do have them installed, drill a 1/8" hole in the lowest part of the system to allow for water drain unless you cover them with a coffee can, that works well, dont melt and cheep, that is what I did on my big truck. Good luck and let me know how it works for ya.
I have dual 4" straight stacks by the way.

Hey Smokestack, I was curious about water drainage, did you just leave the holes open or do you plug them somehow. Not sure if the open holes would cause that annoying puffing sound you get with an exhaust leak or not. Would love to see some pics of your truck too.

Well I called some shops around where i am and all of them were at basically the same price, for 4" stacks with the bend on em they wanted 1000.00 to install and hook everything up. But i went on ebay and theres a guy on there with the name of Chromeroom hes got sets of smokestacks on there. hes got straight and bent and the prices are dirt cheap, im buyin a set from him and hookin em up myself.

plugs

I just left them open, right now it is just a temp thing until I get the stuff for the smooth bore turbo then I am going to have some made for me and they will be totally chromed. And Sycostang, as soon as I figure out how to get pics on here I will post what I have, the before with just the single stack, then will show the dual stacks I have now and then the chrome ones when I get them. Then I will show the FLAMES on it when that project is finished!!!!! WOOOOHHHOOOO!!!! LOL

hey, the other idea is the tractor flaps that Sycossaang talked about, chrome ones wouldn't look that bad, or just add one extra bend in the tops of 'em to make them face backwards. Not too much, just enough to keep the elements out. hey, and while you're at it, you may want to think of a propane/sparkplug setup that blows flames out the stacks. If that dosen't intimidate somebody nothing will.
