Door panel removal on a 79 F150
I have another thread about headlight ***** and figured I'd ask about the door panels.
What's the easiest way to remove them without breaking them? I've gone through 2 driver side door panels (they're expensive. .and I've repainted them). I have to remove my passenger side door panel to install a speaker.. but I was stupid and installed some new clips and put the panel back on before I bought the speakers to install. So now I have to remove the door panel, with ALL the clips and I'd like to do it without breaking it.
The panel is in awesome condition (only one of areas on the panel where the clips go is partially broken. It's still strong enough to hold a clip though). Is it even possible to remove the door panel without breaking it in some way? I have to buy a new driver's side door panel ($50 ) and would really rather not have to buy another passenger side. One thing I can't stand is a flimsy door panel though.
Wish they made door panels that looked stock and fit these trucks that weren't made out of stupid hard plastic.

Yes the clips are what need to be removed. They also need to be replaced because they are only good for one installation. The panels will really rattle if you don't replace them. They usually come in a package of ten at the Ford dealerships. I have heard from others that they can be expensive in some dealerships, so shop around. I went to the dealer here in ENID to get some and they were reasonable but others have charged me way too much.
