why is this chapter locked. we had a nomination for chapter leader but only I nominated myself. i don't understand. Some explaination would be appriciated so i know whats goin on. This chapter is necessary for our area.

Same reason the other chapters were closed Aaron, Inactivity & not choosing a C/L.
This wasn't just an overnight decision.I have been watching and asking & re-asking about who the chapter's are. I would get one or two responses and then that would die.
Maybe now that some users can see we aren't kidding about closing them, they might get busy and actually do something.
One chapter in a 2 week period ,had tons of Parts for sale threads but, they couldn't take a day & elect someone for C/L.
It doesn't stop once the CL has been appointed , It takes ClubFTE activity to stay alive.
ok how do i get elected for the C/L position. This is the most annoying thing to figure out. I love this site and enjoy the people but my thoughts are whats the point for closing it. how much bandwidth does it really take up? If you could tell me how to hold an election for the c/l i'd appriciate it. i've had 2 people already say they'll vote for me so do i have them email you or what? Thanks Dennis.
A nomination thread has to be created then when all the names of who is running are collected (if they meet the criteria) a voting thread will ve created.
If the users of that forum get their stuff together,you could have a CL elected by Friday.
I will open that forum to elect a CL,If that can't be accomplished by say Saturday,I will reclose the chapter.
Just let me know here.
Why close it anyway?
Because users aren't/weren't taking an interest in what the chapters are created for.
They were just using them for chit chat or trying to buy,sell,trade parts.
Some chapters were created by me that didn't meet the criteris from the start.
I was hoping that users would be more interested than what they were so I left them open as long as I could. That didn't work..
We even have well-established chapters that will close of a leader isn't elected.
