90 ranger timing belt

I'm trying to install a timing belt on my 90 ford ranger 2.3L engine. I could use some help.
The oil pump sprocket has a diamond on it but there is no diamond on the inner timing belt cover whatsoever. Could it be possilbe that it doesn't matter where the sprocket diamond is pointing toward. The manual I'm working off of doesn't mention anything about the orientation of that sprocket either.

the oil pump sprocket doesnt need to be timed if it is a DIS, only the cam and crank sprockets.
