removing badges

I'm wanting to remove all of the badges and was wondering if there are holes behind them or if it is just 2 sided 3m tape

I just want to take off the F-150 on the tailgate and leave the big Ford emblem. I like the ones on the side that have the 5.4 Triton on them.

All the other trucks have locator holes in the front fender for the badges.

Tailgate badges usually don't have locator holes.

Who wants to experiment for us??

i've seen on f-150 where they removed the tailgate badge and smoothed it out and painted it to match the rest of the gate, looked good.

I am going to pick up my 2005 F150 this afternoon from Ford. I will ask then. I had it in the shop for a few minor defects when i bought it two weeks ago.

all you have to do is use some floss or fish line. Take it and try to wedge it between the badge and paint. It will come off with a sawing motion. Then simply take some gasoline or goo gone and take the residue off. The sticky stuff can also be taken off with wax.

I took off the F150 emblem on the tailgate there are 3 holes there. Theres thick two sided tape that is like a thin sponge or cushion material. I left the material over the three holes for now. You can plug the holes if you want to paint the tailgate or you can past a different flat emblem over them. I haven't decided what to do yet with mine.
