Center console with bench seat

I want to put a center console on the floor of my '93 F-250 that does not interfere with the forward movement of the bench seat (short legged wife). Putting it in this location would also hide the newly installed remote starter that I couldn't find a suitable under dash location for. I'd like it to have cupholders, which is creating a problem. The slope of the floor is such that cups would sit at too steep an angle. I've toyed with the idea of modifying one of the universal consoles, but haven't really come up with anything that would work and look decent.

Any ideas? Does anyone know of a custom fit console for this location in one of these trucks?

One option you didn't mention was to swap out your bench seat for a 40-20-40 front seat from a 95-97 pickup. The center section has a fold down console, cup holders, and isn't attached to the driver's seat, so short-legged wives, like mine, can scoot all the way up the windshield if they want to. You'd be able to install your remote starter under the center section without a problem.

I have the same problem and another solution. If you look at the front edge of your seat you should see 2 metal posts sticking out of the seat. There was a cupholder option that mounted on the posts and moved with the seats. The local dealer says he can still get it for $50

My 93 Crewcab has two bench seats, and zero cupholders. So, what I did was purchase a cheap dual-cupholder plastic thing, with a 12-CD holder right behind the cupholders.

I dremeled out the CD storage area, and slipped that around the shifter boot. Now it stays put, and doesn't interfere with movement of the bench seat or the shifter, and I have a place to put coffee. $7
