How is the oil pump driven?

This got me thinking the other day. On over head valve engines that have distributors the oil pump is driven by a drive shaft from the dizzy, which is driven by the cam. Since these mod motors are so different how is the oil pump driven on them? I would imagine it would be somehow connected to the crankshaft. Anyone know how they are driven?

It is driven from the crank. It is the same type pump that is used in automatic transmissions
