Question Magnaflow Performance Exhaust (Mieneki)

I am considering having Mieneki install a Magnaflow Cat Back on my stock 5.4 for a measily $350.00. Is this as big a bargain as Mieneki is advertising it to be?

Thats a great deal if its true. I would bet a whole lot of peeps would be getting them done there for that money. This is ofcourse if its a real Magnaflow catback system.

I know what I heard because I couldnt believe it myself. I live in California so maybe it is just a statewide promotion. I will be contacting them today and I will update.

OK Gentlemen, Here it is straight from the horses mouth:

I just called Meineki in Sacramento at 916 331-3687 and they said it is true. They are offering either the Magnaflow or the Flowmaster Cat Back for $350.00 installation included. The only thing you dont get is the tips.
I dont know alot about these systems and I didnt ask any other questions, so If anyone has anything to add, please do.

Never heard of Magnaflow catbacks not coming with tips. I would also call and ask them if these are alumnized or stainless catback kits. Also single out or dual out? I bet Meineke has struck a deal with magnaflow and flowmaster to make them up some alumnized kits for that price.

Not to rain on the parade, but my local muffler shop installs the Mag cat back, including tip, for under 300. Call around, local shops usually do a better job, don't try to run up the bill, and are often cheaper. And the 18" is to darn loud unless you are just into noise, the 24" is great.

When purchasing the REAL Magnaflow cat-back system on the internet, the cheapest I've found is around $450, how are shops able to do this without using their own custom bends & not the REAL cat-back system straight from Magnaflow?

CrAz3D, All I know is my dealer pricing for the dual out catback is around 360-375. So it beats me how they can do it. I will bet its just a muffler and they bend the pipes. As far as 18" being to loud as Chris said, he is the first I have ever heard state that. The 18" is what comes on the magnaflow catbacks and everyone I have talked to said it was just right or maybe a little to quiet. I will tell you for sure next week when I install mine.

I called another Meinike shop in Sacto and they told me that the offer is for dual exhaust, aluminized, includes Tips up to 2 inchs all for $350. Installed. Lifetime warranty. This is a custom built system. It sounds like a fair deal except for the aluminized part of it. Not sure if this is durable enough.

Well thats not that great of a deal. I can give you a link to buy a 3" dual out catback alumnized system for less than 200.00. Just add your tips and you are ready to go.
