This is to anyone out there. I recently had damage to my truck due to a faulty tire. They weren't Firestones but General Grabber AW A/S. Has anyone had this problem before? My Escape is in the shop and Ford is NOT replacing the other three Generals that are still on it? Any suggestions??
General is a pretty "cheap" brand. What was wrong with the tire. If it exploded you might bitch out the dealer and see if they will take care of ya. "explain" to him your total lack of confidence with the others and see if he can get you a set of michelin's (or another good brand) for like 1/2 price or something.
Almost all oem tires are pieces of crap.
Like them goodyear eagle GA's or Eagle LS's they put on tons of cars
because the tire manufacturer makes little or no money off the orginal ones. they make it off replacement.
