shifting when cold

2000 supercab 4X4 3.0 automatic.(55,000 miles) when the truck is cold (first start in morning) it acts as if it doesn't want to shift into overdrive. it eventually does, a couple of miles down the road. truck shifts fine if warmed up. is this normal for this truck, or do i have need to worry? thanks ahead of time.

That's normal, it does that so the engine warms up faster.
