oil slinger

recently went to change timing chain on 1979 f-250 with 400 engine and found no oil slinger on crankshaft, someone told me the 79 didn't have one, don't know for sure any clarification would be appreciated. thanks for the info

I went to get an oil slinger for my 400 when I rebuilt it and even the parts guy at the Ford store couldn't find a number for a 79 so I wouldn't be surprised if FoMoCo never put one in.

I've found one on all my engines.It helps the timing chain I think.
