I went over to Shawn's and got my new (to me) intake last night. It's an Air Force One. I don't know the exact numbers, but I know that my fuel mileage is better as I used much less gas on the way back to Lawrence. I'm going to try and get some pictures in the morning to get up here.
Hey it looks like we have another one that caught the mod bug. Hide the credit cards and cancel the truck magazines, it will help but there is no know cure yet!!
Congrats on the intake! My first mod was an intake also. I noticed about 1 mpg increase on milage when I installed mine also. Seemed to help out in the mid to upper RPM range.
Hey darker windows keep the heat out. Expanded interior parts can create a increase in weight of the truck. That weight increase will lower your gas mileage.....or at least that is what you can tell Angela....LOL
Glad the mod bug hasn't hit me on the Superduty yet. It's bad enough with the 54 project and 64 Tbird. Still, an intake mod, larger exhaust, gauges and a chip or programer would all be fun. Maybe for an extra 100 hp out of the old diesel.
My credit card came in the mail the other day and my threatened me with my life and she goes out and inspects my truck everyday to make sure there is nothing new on it.
Yeah Jeremy those under the hood things don't really show. I got into a fix by buying some project vehicles and everytime one would show up the DW would go to the jewelry store and the truck would cost me double. Now I try to be a little less obvious.
