First mod to my truck

I went over to Shawn's and got my new (to me) intake last night. It's an Air Force One. I don't know the exact numbers, but I know that my fuel mileage is better as I used much less gas on the way back to Lawrence. I'm going to try and get some pictures in the morning to get up here.

Hey it looks like we have another one that caught the mod bug. Hide the credit cards and cancel the truck magazines, it will help but there is no know cure yet!!

Congrats on the intake! My first mod was an intake also. I noticed about 1 mpg increase on milage when I installed mine also. Seemed to help out in the mid to upper RPM range.

The next logical step would be exhaust. I'm not that logical, I want my windows tinted.

Hey darker windows keep the heat out. Expanded interior parts can create a increase in weight of the truck. That weight increase will lower your gas mileage.....or at least that is what you can tell Angela....LOL

Glad the mod bug hasn't hit me on the Superduty yet. It's bad enough with the 54 project and 64 Tbird. Still, an intake mod, larger exhaust, gauges and a chip or programer would all be fun. Maybe for an extra 100 hp out of the old diesel.

Great thing about a diesel is you can get 100hp from a simple plug and play box !!!!

BTW if ya want good diesel info get in touch with "WEWELD". Trust me if ya want a diesel to go fast he is the man to tell ya how!!!

Tony I thought that a tonneau cover was a mod? Congrats on the intake.

A tonneau is a mod, however, it wasn't mine. It came with the truck.

My credit card came in the mail the other day and my threatened me with my life and she goes out and inspects my truck everyday to make sure there is nothing new on it.

One thing about it she only looks for body mods and obvous interior mods so I figured now would be a good time to mod the motor.

Yeah Jeremy those under the hood things don't really show. I got into a fix by buying some project vehicles and everytime one would show up the DW would go to the jewelry store and the truck would cost me double. Now I try to be a little less obvious.
