Talking frame paint advice

I was wondering what you guys like to use for your frame paint. Im taking the body of the frame of my 72 f250 and i was wondering whether to use frame paint or a rubber based spray on. Also is the stuff you get at a place like baxters any good. im looking for durability and rust prevention

I used Por15 and it's been holding up great. It cost more than others and fades with UV exposure, but it's been great other than the exposed parts are flat looking.

Do a search for Por15 in the paint and bodywork forum and you'll find the other stuff, I think it's called 'zero rust' or something like that. Cheaper and sounds like the same / simular stuff.

The most important thing is the prep work, I used a pressure feed sand blaster from harbor freight on sale for about $80 and sand from Home Depot 30# mesh. Wire brush tends to close the pors where as sand blasting opens them up and gets into spots hard to reach otherwise.

i got a price once on getting some 22 inch wheels i had powder costed and it was pretty cheap. something like $25 to $40 a wheel but i had to take all the chrome off of it before i took them there. i would think a frame wouldnt be all that expensive plus it would last forever.

What about having one of those spray in bed liner places shoot it? I've started seeing alot of people get parts sprayed with it looks good and tuff finish. just a thought.
