Wax & wheel cleaners.

Just curious what everyone uses.

I waxed the truck today using Meguiars Gold Class. I like it, mainly because it comes off very easy, looks excellent, and lasts a long time.

And it smells good.

I used Armor-All wheel cleaner, but I think I need something different because it didn't remove the brake dust. That stuff looks like it's baked on.

What's a good cleaner for loosening it up? I had to scrub the bejeezus out of the wheels to get the stuff off.

I use Simple Green full strength on the wheels. It seems to cut it very well. Be sure to rinse thoroughly because it is very concentrated and will actually etch aluminum if left on.

The factory rims on my 01 Ranger XLT still look brand new. The best stuff I have ever found is Castrol All Wheel Cleaner. Spray on and hose off, brake dust is gone!

Meguiars Gold Class is very good. I like Meguiars Gold NXT even better. I don't have any issues with brake dust on my 03 F150 but I wax the wheels once every 2 months or so and the wax seems to repel the brake dust and dirt etc. You might want to consider waxing the wheels more often than you wax the overall truck.

Mothers mag and aluminum polish works excellent, but it involves a little work. Took me a couple hours to do my four rims, but man they look awesome!
