Has anyone installed one of these spacers on their 4.6 triton or other similiar products.Just wandering if the claims of 8-12 more horsepower and a average of 1-3 mpg more is true or just a sales pitch.Living in Nova Scotia,Canada it will cost a fair amount to have one shipped and I really don't want to waste money on products that don't do what they say.Anyone that could share some input on the subject would be really appreciated.thanks jeff

 

You will get different opinions on this. I have one on my 02 5.4 f150, but I put it on together with an Airraid intake and replaced the muffler with a Borla. The combination did make a difference in power, but since I like the new power I tend to drive harder so no increase in milage. The spacer will produce a whistling type of noise under hard acceleration that you may or may not like. If this is all your going to add, I would say not to bother.

 

Save your money,they dont work as advertised.They work somewhat on carburated engines.

 

A better option for you would be to actually change the throttle body size. It won't add much horsepower, but the throttle response is priceless.
