Finally!! 1/4 mile passes on my 4WD Lariat with bolt-ons and gears!!

Well, for all of those who want to see some performance numbers out of a full weight F-150 (supercab, 4WD, Lariat) with the popular bolt ons...here's the timeslip... http://www.looseboltsmotorsports.com/images/timeslip.jpg For those who don't want to click on the link, it's a 15.317 at 88.67 mph.

Here are my mods....

4.56 Gears, stock 32" Goodyears
DiabloSport Predator
Airaid Intake
Magnaflow Catback
Carbon Fiber Driveshaft
ASP Underdrive Pulleys
Synthetic Oil

So, when Car and Driver may have gotten a 17.0 out of their SCrew Lariat 4WD, it doesn't mean our trucks are complete dogs. They just need waking up. I am done now....just needed to get some respectable numbers from the "300 HP" motor.

Check this out.... http://www.arkman.com/times.jpg I was shocked to see we both ran the same times, but he's still got a tad over 2 mph on me, probably from the 800 lb weight difference!

Carbon fiber drive shaft

Anyone have a picture or web site of a carbon fiber drive shaft? What does the carbon fiber drive shaft do for your truck other than weight loss?

I don't have any photos...it was custom built for my truck by a place called PST, www.pstds.com. It is NOT cheap, but it completely got rid of all my vibration issues. My vibration was very minimal from 45-60 mph when stock, but after the added speed the 4.56s caused, it got really bad from 70-80 mph, right where I cruise on the highway. The C/F driveshaft was 14 lbs less than stock, so a combination of reduced weight and perfect balance completely got rid of my vibrations.

Thanks for the updates, Robert. Glad you are having so much fun with your truck. I'm looking to run my truck on a track once as well. I want the larger gears and possibly a turbocharger or supercharger. I don't want to race all the time, just one great run. Thanks for the lead on the carbon fiber driveshaft. There are several that sell them from my Google research, but your experience makes me think PST will be the best route to go.

Nice numbers! !7 is still a respectable tim for a truck that heavy in stock form. Your mod times are very similar to stock titan times now.
