Just trying to find the casting #s on my 302 heads and block. Any #s I seem to find ,don't jive up to the charts I've seen on line. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

 

the numers on the heads, are on the bottom of the head, where it overhangs the valley, and the block numbers are raised in the center of the valley. well at leaste they were on my 87 351w the head should have a number like E5TE or E7TE they may be burried under the slimey black sludge.

 

The casting #s for the block are on the starter side of the block behind the starter.

 

On my 1973 302 heads, the casting numbers are under the valve covers in around the valve bosses.
