I want to install XM Satellite Radio in my 2001 Expedition. .Dont want the antenna to show and would like to hide those ugly wires for power and the antenna. . I am using stock AM/FM Cassette with 6 CD changer in the middle arm rest. I need some placement and install ideas. . thanks

 

I used a Pro-Fit mount for my SkyFi2 in my 03 Expedition. The wires go directly behind the dash. The coiled cord doesn't belong to the radio, it's for a radar detector. I used the FM Modulator for my install.



This is what it would look like in your 01 Expedition.

The antenna can be put under the winshield wiper cowl or on the roof above the driver. The antennas are very small now.

 

My SIRIUS antennae sits on the dash a couple inches up from the windshield. Looks and works fine.
