Removing NP205 Rear output Flange Lock-nut?

I'm trying to remove the rear output Flange lock-nut on my NP205 Transfer case. The nut is 1-5/16", I can not get a wrench in there and all the sockets in that size are 3/4" drive and too big to fit inside the flange.

Can anyone tell me how they got this nut off or where they got a socket to take it off?

I have a 1 5/16" impact socket I ground down to fit in those tight places.
