390 Crank needed

I have a '67 352 FE but want to make it into a 390. My question is will any 390 crank work or do I need to be looking for a specific one?

Any 390 crank should work. Make sure you get it check before you spend money on it.

Two pieces of advice that you need to take into consideration together....

I have a 2U 390 crank that would need turned and polished but other than that it should be good.

I've got a couple good ones too, but everytime I've offered them here, I got my hand slapped. NOBODY reads the classifieds here. The rules need to be relaxed on this. I can see not letting businesses post here, but when it's one guy trying to help out another, I don't see what the bug-a-boo is about. But as far as I know, I can tell another member about another member's stuff he's got for sale, I've seen numerous referals to a certain business that deals in said parts, and as far as I know they were allowed to remain. But don't dare post stuff you've got for sale yourself, that's a no-no.

I never knew this. I often post a link to parts vendors without a second thought. Never knew it was a no no to mention a part for sale to a member who is looking for a part in this section. Can you post a header with a message of things for sale directing to the classifieds if you have things to sell? This is how most other forums handle it. This way people see it and if interested visit the classifeds. Would this also work here? I hardly check the classifieds either. G.

If I had something for sale that someone needed, I would suggest they check the classifieds, or just contact him direct. As to the rules, it is a judgement call. Sometimes it seems sellers are trolling for who will pay the most - a bid process is for ebay.

Here, in this thread, the guy just asked if he needed to look for something special, or look out for something. He did not say he needed one, or was wanting to buy one from another member.

Easy guys... He contacted me via e-mail and asked how much and where I was at. I am not really trying to make money for myself here, I just have a used 390 crank that needs cut and polished. I doubt I will have a use for it in the next 3 years and 390 cranks are easy to find. I just mentioned it in case he was having a hard time finding one or wanted one for real cheap. Sorry, I won't do it again, I will just e-mail someone next time.
