I have a nice 1986 Honda ATC 250R, that I may be willing to part with. I've had this mahine since 1989, never had a problem, and it's still running very strong. All stock except for the silencer. Has factory Honda axle extensions. Stock Ohtsu tires are nearly bald, but I'll include a set of knobby 18's with rims that are nearly new. Has normal wear, still very nice, and fast.
The machine is in central WI.
I would like to trade it for a car or truck, NO JUNK PLEASE... Must be a reliable vehicle not in need of repairs.

How much do you think that 86 250 is worth? I have seen them for $200 in about the same condition you are describing. Just wondering if that was a deal, as you say you want a running car that needs no work it seems like you think they must be worth a lot more. Maybe I should go pick this one up and resell it for more, what do you think?

JDaddy , let me know whenever you find a 85 or 86 250R in this shape for $200, I'll take them all. I've already turned down an offer of $1200 after poting an ad yesterday.

OK thats the answer I was looking for. My dads friend has a 86 250 (checking on the model) that he was going to get rid of for $200. He said that it was in pretty good shape for being 9 years old. He said that the seat was torn and the headlight was not working but that it was mechanically strong. I guess it was his former tenats and they left it there to help cover the last months rent. I have not gone to look at it but talked to my dad after this post and he said we could probable go take it for a ride.
