Oh boy! I would be pumped too. Nothing but slop here in Jersey lately. We are supposed to get rain all day thursday but there is now talk about cooler temps also. Could be fun but also ugly. Both of my F-700 plow trucks are down. Go figure. Temps have been around the 70's the past couple of days. That just adds to the fun of the cooler weather. We will see. Later. Jake.

Well I spoke too soon. By late Wednesday the forcast changed and we got, instead of snow all Wed night, sleet. I spent most of the day shoveling a 3-inch layer of pure slush (oooooh, my back ) from my 18-foot wide driveway (kinda miss my old house with its 8-foot wide driveway). Worse yet about a dozen major limbs fell out of my white pines leaving huge holes to see into adjoining yards. There are 110,000 and still counting customers without power here in a three county area and several snow and ice laden limbs are leaning on the line across my back yard. Freezing rain last night, but now is warmer so maybe it will lighten up some. Never got to snowshoe, but the icy crust held my wife and kids up right on the surface in their snowshoes. I understand folks from Oklahoma to Ohio got nailed pretty bad too.

We lucked out. All we got was fog and a small spritz of rain. I normally enjoy playing in the snow but work has been very busy and plowing comes 2nd! Just as well. I haven't had time to get the plow trucks running anyhow. May have to update the primary plow truck. Need time to sleep first. Lol. Jake.
