engine swap

hi all! long time lurker and first time member and poster. after lusting after early rancheros for about 20 years i've decided to get serious about finding one. i'd like to do a drive train and suspension swap using a 302/automatic tranny and disc brake/rack and pinion front suspension and an lsd disk brake rear axle. i like the earlier body style but have been told that the 64-65 is an easier swap. any advice from personal experience would be appreciated. thanks.

p.s. anyone bringing there ranchero to the Ford and Mustang Roundup in silver springs,fl in january?
