I am looking for ANY information about the Tonneau Cover/Bedliner option on the 2001 Ford Ranger Edge (option number 66k). I am considering the truck, and am very curious about this option. I would mostly like to know how easy it is to remove to haul larger items, as well as individuals' thoughts on this option.

I would recommend going to the dealer and looking at one. The dealer down the street from me has several trucks on his lot with Tonneau covers. I would assume they are the same as what you are talking about. They look nice except they look like an oversized cooler with that option. The cover is made from plastic and it bulges out. The ones I have seen are twin doors.

 

I have been searching High and Low for a dealer that carries a truck with this option on it. According to them, the nearest one for me is in Ohio (I am in MI). By chance, do you know any more about these covers from looking at them at the lot?

 

I don't really know that much about them. I would assume they are easy to remove and install because they are made out of plastic. I think they look kind of cool. The cover is spit in half and it has two doors. One in the front and one in the rear.
And to be honest with you this may not be the option you are looking for. This dealership could have paid some other company to install them.

 

Just a suggestion. I had a Rhino liner sprayed in and then added a Roll-n-Lock cover. Both have been on for about a year and I am still very satisfied. Anyone who has seen this cover has been impressed.

You should be able to get both for about $1000.
