Post newbie getting my feet wet - literally

Hey! I am new to the forum. I have a fairly new black 2004 F150 4x2 Lariat with wet carpets! I decided to go online and to see how common a problem this is. So far I have found some very useful info here! I scheduled a service appointment for next week Monday - first avail opening. Issue: Its been raining heavy. I found water in the carpet - in the rear seat area. I started looking for water when I discovered the windows were fogged badly after the truck sat in the sun. I will suggest that the service manager check the 3rd brake light. I just hope that the water damage is not too bad. I already found rust on the rear seat frame and mounts.

Thumbs up follow up -

My truck is back from service for the water in carpet issue. The 3rd brake light was replaced. There were two small cracks, one over each light bulb - the cracks were not the actual cause of the leak. I was told that the gasket was not properly postioned in its place when the light was screwed into place. This was exactly what I found here on FTE. Thanks for your help!
