Volant Redesigning the 5.4 Kit, AGAIN!

I got a call from Volant yesterday telling me that they are redesigning the intake for the third time. They hope to have a new intake out at the beginning of the year, until then I was told to expect to see the Engine Check light to illumate when it gets cold outside. Still getting too much air to the engine apparently.

Hope the perfomance doesn't change with the new parts.

I called Volant myself today!

I got the same message from them. I have not had my check engine light on but, my kit did not fit properly. I LOVE the way the kit sounds. It is sort of a nice deep sound and really comes to life when you get on it. I had an Airaid on my last truck and hated it!!! Volant is the way to go as soon as they get the new kit out!!!!

MAC makes a kit now for the 5.4 3v motor

MAC actually has a kit out for the 5.4 3v motor in the '04 and '05 F-150s. It runs about $239 from MAC but I have not seen anyone using it. It looks like a nice set up and I have MAC cat-back on my '96 Cobra and it sounds and runs awesome. I am seriously considering going that way when I get the scratch to buy the intake.

Anyone else out there try or read anything on the MAC kit??
