Ham radio operators in Fords

Any amateur radio operators driving Fords on the list? If so, what's your call and what kind of radio(s) are you running?

I'm in a '97 F-150 4x4 longbox with an Icom IC-2720 dual bander.

I have a TAD M8 right now that I have to get the local fx into, but have never got around to it. I am waiting to move to the country side before I put up a tower and have all my neighbours complain.

Haven't been to Smithers in 20 years. Drove there and then flew out when I worked for Conair. Lovely area. Did make it to Terrace to work the airshow this year. Farthest north in BC this season.

So i'm a bit late posting to this thread... My call's VE7EDQ, and i have a TM-D700 residing in my '94 F-150 S/C 4x4... damn good radio, had it underwater once when i took my truck somewhere it really shouldn't have been... but i killed the power in time, just had to wash out the 1/8 inch of silt, change a switch, and redo a couple solder joints and it was back on the air! I also pack a Yaesu FT-60 handie to run the local ham and SAR repeaters.

The predecessor to the Kenwood was actually a Tad M8 - they're solid radios too.

Bounced mine in my diesel for 3 years and never had a prob. Now it is in my 150 and the ride is alot smoother so I doubt I will have any probs after the diesel.

Still haven't got the local frequencies and still haven't moved to the countryside. I guess that is what a 5 month old will do to you
