What synthetic ATF for 2001 6 Speed

I was going to change fluid in my 2001 F-350 with 175000 miles on it. Any opinions on brand of synthetic ATF to use.

I use Amsoil ATF in mine, and have had no problems. I've also read that Mobil 1, Red Line, Royal Purple etc., all seem to do ok.

I run Redline D4 synthetic ATF in mine. I'm thinking about changing that out with Redline MTL next time, but need to research that one.

Yeah I heard the redline MTL is the way to go. I will be changing mine to that this weekend. I just changed my tranny fluid 3,000 miles ago with Mobil 1 ATF synthetic. I think it is too slippery. My 2nd and 3rd gears grind when shifting at high Rpm's quickly. I also have 170,000 miles on my truck so my synchronizers are a little worn.

I was just reading sum info on redline D4 and MTL and it seem's like D4 is the one they recommend for dexron mercon requirements. MTL must be a little thicker but still meets the ATF specs. Maybe alright for my higher mileage tranny. I get some gear grind between 2nd and 3rd also. Anybody have MTL in there truck.
