anyone rebuild a dana 50 ttb?
dad bought a '94 F250 4x4 today, has 351/E4OD 3.55 gears. the whole front axle needs rebuilt along with every u-joint from the transfer case forward, even the one for the r.h. shaft by the differential for suspention flexing. started taking it apart as soon as we got it home. the r.h. shaft wont pull out of the differential. is there a "c" clip in there that requires the diff to be pulled from the l.h. beam? may have to pull it any how to get at l.h. seal. not shure what rear axle or transfer case it has, it is a manual shift case though. weird that a 3/4 ton would have a 3.55 ratio, i was expecting 3.73s or 4.10s this truck has 135,000 miles and has had the hubs locked most of its life, except for the front driveline being shot, appears to be mechanically o.k. what is the best way to pull the diff, just drop the whole l.h. beam? both axleshafts have already been pulled, spindle bearings were completely gone on r.h. side, will need a new r.h. axle shaft stub. almost looks like a 1 ton driveline. wish it came with a book, hanes isnt much help, im trying to find out as much as i can about this truck. thanks for any knowledge you may have. Dave
