I think the Espar products are a great idea, which have a really hard time fitting in the engine compartment of a diesel pickup truck. For instance, where exactly would you envision this going in a 6.0L truck:

fortunately, my 1996 f350 has tons of room! I can almost crawl into it to work on it. Thank you, this is a very valid concern! the heater is not very big, would probably have to be an underneath fit, but routing the hose and electric would be quite a task!

Yeah, we have a '97 F250HD which seems roomy by comparison, but I still think it would be quite a trick to wedge that puppy in there. I assume it has to be more or less upright, for instance. I keep hoping to see the results of someone doing it, so I could conider it more seriously - how about you go first, heh...
