Anyone know if there is any thing a guy can do to repair a windshield that numerous of tiny little pits from road sand (not rock chips, but much smaller), short of having the windsheild replaced?
Nothing wrong with the windshield it just has thousands and thousands of tiny little pits in it.
There are places that can buff it, but it usually won't make that much difference with a windshield that has been sand blasted. Trust me, just have it replaced. Replacing windshields used to be simply routine maintenance when I owned tractor-trailers.
I would replace the windshield. Not much more expensive than having old windshiel repaired. Had mine replaced for $180 after grandson broke old one with a baseball.
I've been down the same road; it's replacement time. Wait till spring. Maybe some will kick up a rock this winter and you can call the insurance company .

Yeah, that's what I've been thinking....too bad I can get it replaced for less than my deductable.
Oh well, I just thought that there may be other possibilities.
