Thumbs down rotors

is ford replacing rotors on the f150 screw 4x4 lariat under warranty, mine is not warpped but the brake pads seem to be harder then the rotors. my rotors look like they have been turned down almost a quarter of an inch and i only have 13000 miles on it. its pretty sad that we pay almost $40,000.00 for a beautiful truck and we all seem to have alot of problems with them. i've only had it for about 7 months and its been to the dealers about 5 times for different things. the dealership has been great so far and i know they know how i feel, this is the second truck from ford, they messed up the first one (2003 f250 sd 6.0 psd) i thought i would try one more time because i love the look of the truck. i hope they make it right for us or it will be the last ford i will own and they can buy this one back. i'm not going to pay for something to be fixed when it should be trouble til it is paid off.

To answer your question. Yes! Ford will replace your roters under warrenty if there are any signs of roter problems like you are having with yours! I'd take it in and have them replace them for you! Goodluck!!

I bought an '04 XLT SuperCrew about a week ago. I bought it new although it had 4,000 miles on it, and the rotors already had some grooves cut into them.

They're not real deep yet, but they won't get any better either. Hopefully Ford will take care of this.

Thanks for the link.

I don't know what it is about Ford trucks and front ends & brakes. Back in '98, I got a brand new F-150 company truck and I was always having to take it in for rotor work, calipers, pads, alignments, etc.

The grooves in the rotors on my new truck is giving me some bad flashbacks I suppose. Trying to keep an open mind though, because so far I really love this truck.

thank you for your replies. going to the shop tomarrow to get a new seal for the rear window sqeak, and they are going to look at the brakes for me. they pull to the right a little when i apply the brakes, but i do not have any vibration or noise from them. they just look like they are eating the rotors away and the brake dust is really bad on the drivers side.
