I did some extremely overdue beyond general tune up maintenance on my 87 300I6 this weekend. Been running lots worse than usual. Well, to keep it short, one of the spark plugs had detonated - Ouch! Not only that, but when I changed out the plugs, I didn't put the #6 in for some reason. When I cranked it over, it shot raw gas all over the firewall and then the plug wire that was lying there sparked and caught it all on fire all over the firewall! DOH!!!
All is OK, didn't hurt anything...except my pride.
Like I say, not the best way to intro myself, but what's the use of doing something really stupid if no one's there to rib ya about it?
