Looking to switch to Mobil Delvac 1 5w-40 for year round use here in NW MN. Wondering how many miles those of you already using this type of oil are going? Also, are there intervals in which you just change the filter and top off rather than a complete drain every time? Thank you.

 

i change it every 5000 or maybe 6000 if i have not towed anything

I'm running Mobil Delvac 1300...15-40W and change it and filter every 5K. Change fuel filter every 10K.

 

I plan on getting 20-25,000 out of the synthetic Delvac1 in my PSD, but the ultimate decision on that will be made based on oil analysis results. I'll change the filter every 5k or so, and pull a sample at the same time.

 

How often do you change if towing a RV???
