louvered time

well im a huge fan a revrend horton heat, and have been getting alot of my ideas for my truck from bits of there song... well this time im kicking around the idea of doing a louvered hood. i've found the tail gates for sale online, but i have an extra hood and im thinking of attempting it myself... but i have really no idea what goes into it. i know you need the dies, but as far as the whole process goes, does anyone know?

My advice is to find someone local with a louver punch to take care of your hood. A real lover punch/press is pretty spendy. Of course most guys who have them figure they can offset the cost by louvering for others.

Be sure you have someone knowledgable about louvering do it. I have seen some botched jobs done by professionels. I bought a whole truck just for the louvered hood. They are straight, symmetrical, and even. The trick is going far enough but not to far.
