Replacement bulbs

I was looking into getting a different color turn signal for the front. I thought maybe clear or blue. Has anyone done this?

Aslo maybe some clear bulbs and lens for the sidelamps beside the headlights. Has anyone done this either?

I looked into the headlights. Is the part# 9006 or 9008?

I had some blue bulbs here at the house and I put them into the light sockets that shine onto the licence plate. They look pretty cool I guess. Just something different.

Get the sylvania silverstars for the turn signals, 3157AST Silverstar is blue lookin till you turn em on and then they are amber..trick.

On The headlites, H13 is the correct bulb for our trucks. AKA: 9008. Same bulb, but as Im sure youve read the high output version is not avaliable as of yet. I was wondering about hacking a new plug on the harness that will accept the silverstar 9007 bulbs like the 03's take,,hmnmmm haveta check into that.

The driving/fog lights replace with the 9005 silverstars, now those will lite up your life!

Let me get this right. You can replace the fog lights with Silverstar's 9005 bulb? That would be great, because I always have my fog light on, anytime I drive my truck.

Yes Khendrix, the 9005 is a plug and play replacement bulb for the fog lites. there is also a simple mod to enable the fogs to stay on while using your high beams as well, its an old chevy 4 headlite system trick to keep all 4 lites on when on high beam. This F-150 mod will allow fogs to be on while high beams are on, not turn on high and low beams together. I used the Painless wire relay kit to simplify matters, Relay kits are avaliable alot of places, I got mine from Summit Racing Part # PRF 30802.
Hook the tan wire to the OEM tan with red stripe and the green wire to the green with black stripe in the front light wiring harness on the left front fender (ground the black wire and red of course to +pos.) And
Wa-La you have light and lots of it!

Just bought the SilverStar's for the fog lights this morning. I replaced one already. Im waiting for the sun to go down so I can compare before I put in the other bulb.

Even during the day, you can tell the difference. I think it will be good.
