When turning the steering wheel in my truck, i can hear a squeaking noise. is this something that i can grease or are the ball joints or tie rods bad? The truck has 115,000 miles on it and I am unsure of the maintenance on it. Are there parts that are recommended to be replaced with this many miles?
The truck is a 97 f150 offroad.
Thanks
Tim
With that mileage,I would check balljoints.Average 70-80,000,though I just replaced some that had 140,000 and were'nt that "bad".97-up are bad for squeeking, balljoints and pitman arm usually.
